One crazy application

One crazy app: Prank Mirror

Since childhood, we all know that a funhouse mirror is a simple way of evoking uncontrollable laughter. You have probably passed by a set of such mirrors in the mall at least once. A phenomenal thing about curved plastic with a reflective layer is that it makes even those children who are over 30 years old smile. But is an iPhone any worse that a funhouse mirror in a shopping center? No way! The reason is that there is an app that allows anyone to play around with funhouse mirrors to his or her heart's content and even make an avatar picture out of the funniest result.

Prank Mirror for iphone

An application by the name Prank Mirror allows you to view yourself through an iPhone or iPad camera aided by a whole bunch of different mirrors. For example, the "Brain" mirror makes your forehead appear unusually large elongated in the tradition of Frankenstein. The "Boxer" mirror will make a true pizza out of your face  just like it would look after a couple of rounds with Mike Tyson. Do you remember how all kinds of  saints and friendly ghosts look like in cartoons? If you don't, the "Good Spirit" mirror will remind you. The app comes with a total of 18 different must-see mirrors.

In terms of controls, you only need to use two buttons with Prank Mirror: mirror selection and shutter toggle. Other auxiliary controls allow you to switch to the next filter or return to the original image. Such quick switching comes in especially handy when quickly testing all of the mirror options available. Later, as you use the app more, you will probably develop favorite mirrors.

Also, one can also play Frankenstein along with a friend's picture. In the upper right corner, there is a camera rotation button. Press it, and your puzzled friend's face will also start transforming into a face reminiscent of those in the best Japanese anime cartoons. Since laughing at the results alone is no fun, you can save your favorite image in the application (and at the same time, in the iPhone's gallery) to later share with the participant.

And if you enjoy being popular, a funhouse mirror featuring your face can be sent right away to all of your friends through email. It is a shame that there is no built-in Twitter or Facebook publishing feature, but as long as your photo is saved in the gallery, you can send it to social media platforms using the built-in smartphone tools.

This hilarious app is free, so treat yourself to the joy of recalling your childhood, and create a set of original silly avatars for some serious web resources.

It’s a good idea to add such photos to the contacts list, especially to a boss or angry tutor.
