If you have browsed the Apple App Store for security apps to protect your iPad from malware, you are well aware that your options are few and far between. While your first thought may have been that the iPad hasn't been around long enough for developers to begin working on security apps, there is actually a different reason why your options are so limited: there is not much need for added security when it comes to the iPad. Apple's developers designed the iPad in such a way that apps, with the exception of apps directly from Apple, cannot communicate with one another. As a result, the risks of a virus or malware infiltrating your iPad are minimal.
