One second after awakening from a dream or My opinion about WaveAlarm

One Second Before Awakening From A Dream

In 1943, in Salvador Dali's mind a circus playbill with tigers collided with the studies of dreams by his beloved Freud. The painting depicts a dream a moment before awakening caused by the process of awakening itself. Something similar to waking up because your cat licks your face, right after seeing in your dream an epic story about saving a princess who kisses you at the end. And, all of a sudden, you see your cat. Don't tell me such thing has never happened to you.

And in April 2012, the guys from http://www.augmentedminds.com/ released WaveAlarm. It doesn’t differ from the standard alarm clock app, but it has one zest – you can turn it off by waving your hand above an iPhone.

Something like this

I checked on my own, it works. Most likely, this feature works due to few tiny red sensors on the front panel. The blooper of WaveAlarm is that it can be useful only for those people who accurately put their iPhones on bedside tablets. It is not for me then. There is no sense in waving arms around the buzzing iPhone that has to be found at first in your left sock’s inner pockets, figuratively speaking.

While I was deleting the app, I was thinking about what kind of the iPhone alarm software I would like to have. So, my dear iPhone apps developers, in a case you are currently reading this, here is an idea for a million bucks. Or at least for my guaranteed couple bucks.

An alarm clock app with voice recognition.
Here is my idea. At first, I record few phrases using my own voice, like “I hear” or “5 more minutes”. Now, when this alarm app is ringing from the closet, I just need to unglue my eyes and say loudly “I hear”. And then I can
sleep happily ever fucking after stretch and get up.

Or, I could yell “5 more minutes” and sleep a bit more.
Yeah, that would be awesome.

And for now, you can accurately leave your iPhone at the bedside table.

P.S. Here is another funny alarm clock! Not for iPhone, though.

There is the possibility that before awakening from the bacon odor (BTW, can odors actually awaken people from sleep?) you will see a wonderful dream about the BBQ with your friends.
