Pulse News Reader focuses on visualization of the saved content – news and articles are represented as horizontal bars, which are located in a smaller version of the page's source. Thus, a user may base his choices not only on the textual content, but also on the visual information – videos and live footages. Although there is a mode, that disables the visual demonstration and only text remains - for fans of the traditional approach of RSS-aggregators.

Flipboard (free)

Flipboard is probably one of the most interesting to use RSS-aggregators on your iPhone. You as the best editor of the headlines can choose the content that you are interested in instead of relying on the automatic choice of the program. It is also possible to the application a Google Reader’s account, Twitter, Instagram and diverse multiple RSS feeds. If you need you can add more accounts from a huge list of supported online services and networks.

The main application’s screen consists of rectangular blocks, which in some way resemble the interface of Windows Phone 7’s main menu. For each new added account there is a separate element of the interface. These blocks can be moved as you like, you can add new ones, edit the already added ones, etc. There is also a large block "Cover Stories" which will show the content that was automatically selected specifically for you according to your interests. The application is gradually improved and each new version is getting only better.

In addition to the huge number of different accounts you can create a basic Flipboard account to synchronize it between your iOS devices.

PressReader can be recommended to those who like to read the paper based newspapers and want to read regular newspapers pages on the screen of an iPhone or an iPad. On the one hand it is clear that almost everything that is in newspapers can be found in the Internet. But if you got used to read during few years “NY Times” or “Chicago Tribune” as paper newspapers such approach will be extremely useful for you. Also this application will appeal to those who live abroad and cannot buy newspapers from other countries.
