illi How to make ringtones for iphone?

There was an option that allowed the iPhone users to create their original ringtones on their own.
The option “create your own ringtone” was brought into use in the year of 2007.
One could buy a track from iTunes store for 0.99 USD and using the option change it the way one liked.
As long as the feature is no longer available starting from iTunes 10, one can still use our careful instructions to do it manually.
You might want to know what it is worth. Well, good news is it’s free and as bonus, may be used on earlier iTunes versions and supposedly on the later ones as well.
The manual is written on the example of iTunes 10, but it’s really easy and should work on any OS.
Here are the steps you will follow to make a free ringtone for iTunes
Step 1. After you have iTunes started select a song you wish to use for creation of your ringtone.
Step 2. Open the song properties by right-clicking on it and selecting “Get info” from the drop-down menu.

Step 3. Among all the tabs of a newly opened window select the one named “Options”.
Select the part of the song you would like to be a ringtone by pointing on the “Start time” and “Stop time”. The part must last 30 seconds or less to be detected as a ringtone by iTunes. Then confirm it by pressing “OK” button.

Step 4. Right-click on the song again, select “Create ACC Version”.

Step 5. The part of the song you have selected previously (i.e. in step 3) will be copied out of the main song and made as a separate file, which will be 30 seconds long.
Step 6. Open file in Windows Explorer.
Step 7. You need to change its (file’s) extension to “m4r”.
Step 8. Return to iTunes and delete the song you’ve just created from there by right-clicking and then selecting “Delete”.

Step 9. Then you confirm your previous action by pressing “Remove” in a window that appears next and after that select to “Keep file”. Thus the ringtone is safe as a file but removed from iTunes library.
Step 10. In finder select your ringtone file “m4r” with double-click. Thus you send it back to iTunes which locates it in ringtones library. Now synchronize your iPhone withn iTunes and set newly ringtone.
